Boston Logan Airport Plane Rolls Off Runway

by Archynetys News Desk

BOSTON (WPRI) — A plane has skidded off a runway and into the grass at Boston Logan International Airport on Thursday, according to Massachusetts State Police.

JetBlue flight 312, which left Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport at 8:41 a.m., “experienced an irregular landing,” according to officials.

The Massachusetts Port Authority (MassPort) said the runway, 33-L, has been closed as officials inspect the plane. All flight passengers have been bussed to the nearest terminal.

There was a ground stop order on all flights departing and arriving at Logan Airport until 2 p.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

No injuries were reported.

“Safety is JetBlue’s top priority,” A JetBlue spokesperson said. “We will conduct a full investigation of the incident and will work closely with the relevant authorities to understand the cause.”

It’s unclear what caused the plane to go off the runway.
