“A day of reflection” will soon be held in Australia. It is intended “to honor the victims of the horrific terrorist attack on Bondi Beach and to express solidarity with the Jewish community,” said a statement from the Australian Prime Minister. “People across the country are invited to light a candle at 6:47 p.m., exactly one week after the attack, as a silent gesture of remembrance with family, friends or loved ones. We are also asking Australians to observe a minute’s silence at 6.47pm.” With the hour difference this will be at 8.45 am in Belgium.
