Bolsonaro & Tikkun Olam: NewsBlaze Analysis

Jair Bolsonaro served as the 38th President of the Federative Republic of Brazil and governed Brazil from January 2019 to December 2022.

Bolsonaro was accused and found guilty and received a 27-year jail sentence for plotting a coup.

Bolsonaro’s first official visit to Israel was in March 2019 when he inaugurated the new Brazilian embassy in Jerusalem, Israel’s capital. In January 2020, Bolsonaro attended the World Holocaust Forum that took place in Jerusalem and in 2020 he made a brief stop-over in Israel during his trip to the United States.

Overall, during his presidency, Bolsonaro made at least three significant visits to Israel to strengthen the ties between the two countries.

In January 2026, Bolsonaro and his wife visited Israel when he declared that he wanted Brazil back in Israel’s corner while his country’s evangelical and conservative forces are reshaping Latin America, and to end Iran’s ruthless Islamic regime and free the world of this evil regime, and bring about Tikkun Olam.

Tikkun Olam

Tikkun Olam is an often used term with its roots in Judaism.

In the Hebrew language TiKkun means to correct and Olam means world.

Over the past 2000 years the term has been reinterpreted with multiple shades of meaning, often adding healing the world to correct it. More so, healing the world has various insinuations.

Judaism envisioned Tikkun Olam with multiple shades of connotation. Although absent from the Hebrew Bible Old Testament, in some legalistic perception, adhering excessively to law or formula, in some rabbinical texts it appears first in the first few centuries CE, and in the Kabbala texts from the 13th through 18th centuries adding to Kabbalah’s mystical characteristic. Since the 20th century Tikkun Olam has come to mean modern ideals of alleviation – making TIKKUN TO – human and global suffering, such as social justice, human rights, world peace, and environment issues.

Bolsonaro’s Tikkun Olam

While in Israel, Bolsonaro declared he was focusing on strengthening support for a political and diplomatic alignment, military cooperation, cultural exchange, environmental policies and economic ties between Brazil, the USA and Israel.

Bolsonaro’s foreign policy emphasized strong bilateral relations with both the USA and Israel and he highly recommended increased military collaboration, particularly with Israel, focusing on Israel’s superior military defense technology and also military training.

As for cultural exchange, Bolsonaro suggested promoting cultural ties, including shared values on issues like security and governance.

The suggested new environmental policy approach come as Brazil faced large-scale land transformation, pervasive pollution across its diverse ecosystems, all summed up to environmental policy tensions, particularly regarding the Amazon rainforest and international scrutiny of the environment.

At the end of his visit in Israel, Bolsonaro declared that we were living in the year of Tikkun Olam.

Bolsonaro’s approach to Tikkun Olam included repairing the world through social justice and ethical actions, efforts to protect the Amazon rainforest, international social responsibility efforts and global stewardship characteristic to Tikkun Olam.

The Current Epic Fury War And Gog and Magog

The Gog and Magog War, as described in biblical texts, particularly in Ezekiel 38-39, involves a coalition of nations –Iran, Russia – led by Gog from the northern land of Magog. This war, predicted to occur in the latter days, symbolizes a final conflict that will bring the world to its desired eternal peace – ending the apocalyptic days. According to Judaism, the arrival of the Messiah and bringing about the eternal messianic day that will befall upon the world.

The Messianic Days refers to a future time of peace and divine intervention in the entire world when a wolf shall live with a lamb, and a leopard with a kid shall lie down.

Different religious traditions have their interpretations of the Gog and Magog days, characterized by the fulfillment of prophecies and the establishment of justice, when the suffering and evil of the world will be eradicated and culmination of hope and spiritual renewal will prevail.

Gog and Magog is often interpreted as a prophecy concerning Israel and its enemies and represents a battle between good and evil, with divine intervention, which brings the Tikkun Olam into focus.

Gog and Magog’s prophecy, often interpreted as a symbol of future conflict, signifies by its northern geographical direction. It is often linked to historical enemies of Israel – IRAN- located to the north of Israel.

This prophecy is associated with the end of times and apocalyptic events while Gog and Magog’s outcome includes the defeat of Gog – IRAN – and restoration for Israel.

Interpretations of this conflict vary among different religious and theological perspectives and the significance of Gog ad Magog is debated in eschatological* studies.

*Relating to death, judgment, and the final destiny of the soul and of humankind.

Ending Iran’s Islamic Devilish Significance

Bolsonaro’s Tikkun Olam declaration is his predictable wish to end the Islamic Iran apocalyptic approach to develop a nuclear arsenal, to produce and use ballistic missiles against the entire world, to keep millions of its population in the captivity of Islamic radical regime that decapitates babies’ heads, and deprives them of freedom and brings to an end its population’s misery.

Jair Bolsonaro may have been right in his thought that Tikkun Olam is being done these days.
