During its descent on September 27, the Solar Orbiter’s Extreme Ultraviolet Imager (EUI) captured images of the Sun’s surface from a distance approximately one-third of the Earth-Sun distance, making the star appear significantly larger.
Utilizing this opportunity, the Orbiter also analyzed the solar winds emanating from the Sun, providing valuable data for comparison with observations from NASA’s Parker Solar Probe.
