The young Jean Claude Bossard, 29 years old, He died in the middle of a violent robbery on December 2 while walking in the north of Bogotá. The incident involved a 16-year-old minor who was captured by the authorities and a second man was killed by a police officer.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the 16-year-old was “in the company of another person and on board a motorcycle with false license plates” and approached the victim in the Chicó Navarra neighborhood.

In the clip, the minor is seen standing very close to Jean Claude, who was walking looking at his cell phone. The young man, now accused, lifts his jacket to check if he has the weapon at hand and threaten the victim.
In a matter of seconds, he pounces on the young man to take his cell phone and suitcase. In the middle of the struggle, both end up on the road and, after receiving two bullet woundsJean Claude ends up lying on the asphalt.
In the other corner, another guy on an orange motorcycle waits for the minor. After this, according to other previously published videos, a police officer on a bicycle fires his service weapon to prevent escape and kills the motorcycle driver.

As a consequence, the 16-year-old minor was captured and the Prosecutor’s Office charged him with the crimes of homicide; manufacturing, trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition; attempted qualified theft, the three aggravated behaviors; and trademark falsehood; This last charge was not accepted.
For now, the accused must comply with preventive confinement in a specialized center while the case against him progresses.
The body of the young Colombian-French man was dismissed by his family and friends on the same day he would turn 30 years old. “The hardest thing for us is knowing that the person who shot him was a 16-year-old young man. For us, he is no longer a child, because an armed child is a murderer. And the truth is that he killed. What is happening cannot be Colombia,” said Jean Claude’s father in an interview with EL TIEMPO.
