Later in his career, Tkachuk turned to synth injections, a practise involving injecting oil-based substances directly into muscles to create the illusion of increased size. While thes injections can provide a temporary cosmetic effect, they carry significant health risks. According to a 2023 study published in the Journal of Sports Medicine, synth injections can lead to severe complications, including stroke, heart attack, infections, and organ failure. The long-term effects are frequently enough devastating and irreversible.

The same formations were found in the hip joint. They made a magnetic X -ray and realized that the blood vessels and kidneys were clogged of calcium
, Tkachuk revealed. He underwent multiple surgeries in an attempt to recover and return to training.
In a candid reflection two years prior to his death, Tkachuk expressed deep regret over his decision to use synth injections. He cautioned others against following his path, emphasizing that the pursuit of artificial muscle size was not worth the irreversible damage to his health and career.
Final Days and Heartbreaking Loss
Recently, Tkachuk was hospitalized in Sankt Petersburg, battling lung and kidney failure. After suffering a heart attack, he was placed in a medically induced coma. Tragically, he never regained consciousness.
