New international friendly for Millonarios
Millonarios will play a new friendly in Argentina, when they visit Boca Juniors in La Bombonera in a duel under the name of the Miguel Ángel Russo Cup, in tribute to the former coach who left a deep mark on both clubs and died in October 2025.
The match will be a key test for Boca, led by Claudio Úbeda, to fine-tune its rhythm ahead of a demanding season that will include the Argentine Professional League, Copa Libertadores and Copa Argentina.
For Millonarios it will be a new confrontation on Argentine soil after losing to River Plate over the weekend. Those led by Hernán Torres this year will have a presence in the BetPlay League, Copa Sudamericana and Copa BetPlay.
This match represents an opportunity for both teams to test systems, see new players and cohere tactical ideas, while paying tribute to the figure of Russo in an environment that promises great attendance and excitement in Buenos Aires.
