Almost 50 % of the ninth grades choose to enter colleges. This was told by the Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of Professional Education-Head of the Department of Professional, Technical and Secondary Special Education of the Ministry of Education of Alexander Petrov, BelTA writes.
She emphasized that in recent years, a lot has been made in Belarus regarding the image of working professions and attracting potential applicants to obtain education in colleges. “Firstly, this is the admission after nine grades. Almost 50 % of graduates of the ninth grades choose colleges of vocational, technical and secondary special education. Here, of course, the fact that our level is carried out on this level is based on this level on the basis of education documents: certificates of general basic education or certificate about general secondary specialties, with the exception of creative specialties. In the latter case, entrance tests are necessary to understand how a person sings or dances “– she explained.
There are a lot of preferential trajectories along which you can go to Belarusian colleges, she added. “For example, in 2023, it was possible to increase the numbers of admission at the level of vocational education in the course of actually the entire reception campaign in the specialties in demand by the economy of specialties. If there are additional applications for a sought -after specialty, then the institution can increase the reception of the institution until August 22. Of course, this gives its result the last three years “– said Alexandra Petrov.
The numbers of admission at the level of vocational, technical and secondary specialized education are growing annually, the representative of the Ministry of Education emphasized. “This year we plan to accept 28 thousand people at the level of vocational education. It is planned at the level of secondary special education almost 39 thousand places, and 30 thousand of them are budgetary. In addition, the tendency to increase the numbers of receiving applicants on the terms of targeted training is still very pleasing. ”– she said.
According to Alexandra Petrova, even if you take only work with colleges of the Ministry of Education, it is clear that the number of places on the terms of targeted training has increased.
