Responding to the online chatter, Sikkes recently addressed the “pressing question” in an interview. He clarified that while he maintains a consistent look – a light blue shirt paired with a dark blue sweater – the reality is far from a single garment.

Someone wondered online if I only had one sweater.

“I have a fairly fixed look: light blue shirt and dark blue sweater,” Sikkes explained, adding with a laugh that he actually owns around thirty of them. He elaborated on his practical approach to clothing, stating, “I always have to be replaced as my favourite item of clothing and it is indeed no longer for sale. That is why I will buy, if I find a nice jeans, I will be right for the time being,” he explains.

From real Estate Decisions to Restaurant orders: A Paradoxical Approach

Interestingly, Sikkes reveals a captivating contrast in his decision-making process. While he confidently handles notable financial transactions on Buying Without Watching, he struggles with even the simplest choices in everyday life.

“It is funny: I can make decisions without hesitation about purchases of hundreds of thousands of euros,but in a restaurant I doubt endlessly about what I have to choose,even until the Ober is in front of me. I often regret that, but with large purchases I never buy a car within six minutes, but in the supermarket I will pay a little more than 3 euros!” Sikkes stated.

This highlights a common human tendency to overthink minor decisions while acting decisively on major ones, a phenomenon often linked to the perceived consequences of each choice.

A Difficult Season: “Buying Without Watching” Faces Challenges

The latest season of Buying Without Watching has been notably challenging for Sikkes and interior stylist Roos Reedijk. The absence of their colleague, Martijn Krabbé, due to illness, has deeply impacted the team. Krabbé’s presence will still be seen in some episodes filmed before his departure.
