In an unexpected turn, Bob Dylan has seemingly narrated the trailer for Machine Gun Kelly’s (MGK) new album, Lost Americana, slated for release on August 8th. This collaboration hints at a developing connection between the two artists.

Earlier this year, Bob Dylan surprised fans by posting a video on his instagram account featuring Machine Gun Kelly rapping in a record store. MGK responded to the post, commenting, “you having a phone is so rad,” while Mod Sun added, “This is my favorite thing that’s ever happened on the internet.”

It now appears that Dylan’s post may have been a purposeful move, as his distinctive voice is featured in the promotional teaser for MGK’s forthcoming album.

“Lost Americana is a personal excavation of the American dream,” Dylan’s voice begins in the trailer. “A journey to find what’s been lost.This album is a love letter to those who seek to rediscover – the dreamers, the drifters, the defiled.”

MGK confirmed Dylan’s involvement by posting a photo of Dylan on his Instagram story, captioning the teaser, “lost americana the album. 8-8 trailer narrated by … .”

Dylan’s Instagram Post Fuels Collaboration Speculation

“Lost Americana is a personal excavation of the American dream… A journey to find what’s been lost.”

Dylan’s initial Instagram post, which is still live, has garnered close to 60,000 likes, suggesting that his support for MGK was intentional.

The collaboration has prompted speculation about a potential musical partnership, wiht some fans suggesting a reimagined version of “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door,” perhaps with updated lyrics: “Mama put my machine guns in the ground/ I can’t shoot them anymore …”

Bob Dylan is scheduled to perform alongside Willie Nelson and other artists on the “Outlaw Music Festival Tour,” commencing June 20th in Clarkson, Michigan, and concluding September 19th in East Troy, Wisconsin.
