CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WVVA) – In a back and fourth shootout the Bluefield Beavers remained composed and put up a good, hard fought fight against the Frankfort Falcons.
The Falcons came into this matchup with 27 straight wins and back to back state titles but the Beavers were looking to end that streak and bring home their 12th state title.
Bluefield being lead by a trio of sophomores Max Simpson, Jaleel Jones, and Paxytn Calhoun showed out but in the end, the experience of Frankfort would overcome the Beavers.
Bluefield went 11-3 on the season and will be a sight to see in the seasons to come.
