Scooter Braun has been subpoenaed as part of the sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit filed by Blake Lively concerning the movie It Ends With Us. Lively is reportedly seeking information from the music mogul regarding co-star Justin Baldoni‘s alleged efforts to damage her reputation.

According to Deadline, Braun’s company, HYBE America, received notification of the subpoenas on Tuesday, June 10. Lively’s legal team intends to formally serve the document requests on Thursday, June 12. Sources indicate that both HYBE America and Scooter Braun, in his capacity as CEO, have been subpoenaed.

In her lawsuit, Lively alleges that Justin Baldoni hired crisis PR specialist Melissa Nathan to disseminate negative press about her after she reported instances of sexual harassment on the set of It Ends With Us. Lively is now pursuing any materials related to this alleged smear campaign that may be in the possession of Braun and HYBE America, which is said to have a controlling interest in Nathan’s company, The Agency Group PR.

Lively’s subpoena of Braun comes after Baldoni’s attempt to subpoena Taylor Swift, a friend of Lively and a known opponent of Braun. The conflict between Swift and Braun dates back to 2019 when Braun acquired Swift’s Big Machine masters, which she recently regained control of.

A federal judge dismissed Baldoni’s countersuit on Monday, June 9, citing legal deficiencies. While he is permitted to amend breach of contract claims, his defamation allegations were permanently dismissed. The trial is expected to take place in 2026.
