Visiting the construction site of the Birkilane–Mabo axis, the completion of which was initially scheduled for this Sunday, December 7, 2025, the Minister of Infrastructure Déthié Fall, noted a delay and non-compliance with contractual deadlines.
Déthié Fall instructed the general director of Ageroute to apply the penalties provided for in the event of delay. He also demanded that “the part of the contract relating to sanctions be transmitted to the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Prime Minister’s Office for rigorous monitoring”.
On the ground, he decided to relieve the Ageroute site manager responsible for supervising work on this axis from his duties, requesting his immediate replacement.
At the same time, he announced the dispatch, from Tuesday, of technical inspectors responsible for ensuring strict monitoring of the implementation of the decisions taken.
