A violent storm hit the Alto Biellese in the afternoon of today, May 21, leaving behind damage and inconvenience in different countries. The atmospheric event hit around 5pm, in particular, hitting Andorno Micca, Pettinengo and Ternengo, but similar reports also come from other neighboring areas.
The phenomenon, as short as intense, has downloaded a remarkable amount of hail in a few minutes, with small and medium -sized grains that completely covered carriageways, gardens and sidewalks. The images circulated on social media show landscapes transformed almost into winter settings, despite spring temperatures.
Cars in difficulty and search for shelter
The hailstorm has also caused problems for traffic. Several cars in transit have sought shelter under trees or canopies, in an attempt to avoid damage to the windshield and bodywork. There was no lack of reports of damage to vehicles and traffic slowdowns.
Tomorrow we start with bad weather
Tomorrow, Thursday 22 June, in the morning in Valsesia and surroundings there is a very cloudy sky with rainfall. In the afternoon, passage in dry time with large lightening.
