Junior WC in biathlon – Arber
Results – cadet relay mix:
Slovak biathletes took 5th place in the mixed relay of cadets at the youth world championship in Arber, Germany.
The quartet consisting of Markus Sklenárik, Oliver Gajdošovci, Ema Malíková and Michaela Straková had a balance of 0+9 on the range and was 2:45.5 minutes behind the winning Austria.
The Norwegians won the silver and the Finns the bronze. Over the weekend, Straková became the world champion in the cadet endurance race.
The juniors finished two positions lower, the foursome of Martin Maťko, Michal Adamov, Alžbeta Garguláková and Tamara Molentová fell behind the victorious Latvians by 3:30.8 minutes. They had a score of 1+14 on the shooting range and the only penalty round was completed by Garguláková after standing.
However, the six Italians had a lead of well over one minute at the finish line. The closest to the winning Latvians was Norway with a deficit of 4.5 seconds, the best three were completed by the French (+58.7 s).
