After a nearly two-month investigation, an arrest has been made in connection with the theft of Beyoncé’s hard drives. According to police officials, Kelvin Evans, the alleged thief, was already serving time in jail for a parole violation. Evans now faces a charge of entering an automobile with intent to commit theft.

in July, a choreographer and dancer for Beyoncé reported that a rental car they were using had been broken into. An incident report confirmed that at least five jump drives were inside the vehicle. These drives contained “watermarked music, some unreleased music, footage plans for the show, and past and future set lists.”

Security cameras in the parking garage captured the incident. The next day, the vehicle’s owner was contacted by police and stated they were renting the car out to “help pay bills.”
