Bettelmatt Cheese & Montana Union: A Flavor Celebration

The Bettelmatt cheese of the new season will be presented in Crodo on Sunday 5 October during the Biancolette event.

The adhesive labels that indicate the places where you can buy and enjoy this product, protected by the Montana Alta Ossola Union (owner of the brand and guarantor of originality) and by the Beltelmatt producers’ association that brings together the 8 farmhouses that produce it will also be distributed.
Secondino Matli who is 85 years old and started as a child to go up to the Alpe Forno, one of the seven pastures in which this Ossolane excellence is produced, says: «I do Bettelmatt as the Uncle Lino and his father Clemente ticked me. The secret is a milk that comes from pastures above 2,200 meters, with fragrant grass and crystal clear water of the sources ».
