Best Watches 2025: Top Picks & Reviews

by Archynetys Entertainment Desk

When you think of watches designed for motorsports, models like the Rolex Daytona, Omega Speedmaster, and TAG Heuer Carrera are top of mind. These are all beautiful mechanical pieces with excellent chronograph functions, but they can feel like relics next to the state-of-the-art tech you find at any modern racetrack. H. Moser & Cie., thankfully, has never been bound by the traditions and legacy of watchmaking. Whether the brand’s collaborating with spunky newcomers or spoofing the Apple Watch, Moser’s approach is all about doing something new. That doesn’t always mean something cheeky, either.

In May, Moser worked with Alpine, the Formula 1 team it sponsors, to create a new vision of the sport watch. The Streamliner combines elements of mechanical watchmaking and smartwatches for something truly functional for 2025. The watch is controlled via a central system that can send out timed alerts so members of Alpine’s racing team are always apprised of their programming. Oh, and also, civilian customers can also get a little happy birthday message sent straight to their wrists :).

The Great Scott, They Did It Again Award: MB&F SP One

Leave it to MB&F to completely rethink the traditional form of a wristwatch. While all the classic elements are here—round case, dial with hour and minute hands—they’re presented in a totally radical way. The dial, along with the movement, appears suspended and hanging in mid-air at the center of the watch. MB&F continues to create new umbrellas in its catalog, from the series of M.A.D. Editions to this new branch of Special Projects. The SP One has me hyped for what’s to come.
