Following a recent match, the Besiktas club has voiced strong disapproval of the performance of arbitrator Yener Yilmaz.

According to the club, “He means opposed feelings to our club and makes incorrect decisions. This judge has once again proved that he is ashamed of the basketball judges community, unfairly sending our strategist Duned Dusimpievich, who has used three challenges before the long break and was right at all times.”

The tension escalated during the match when the referee reportedly threatened to halt the game if the Besiktas coach did not leave the court.

The Istanbul Club has formally appealed to the Turkish Basketball Federation, submitting a letter of resentment. They are requesting that the judge be penalized and prevented from officiating in the final series.

This particular arbitrator also officiated in the semi-final series where Anadolu Efes was defeated by the bresiktash executive.

According to reports, the arbitrators view “Fenerbach” strategist Šarūnas Jasikevičius more favorably than his opponents in the final series.

The Turkish final series is a best-of-seven competition, requiring four victories to win.
