Quebecer Bennedict Mathurin was effective Saturday night to help the Indiana Pacers triumph 116-101 against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Mathurin was used for 16 minutes of play and he collected 16 points in addition to adding six rebounds. He notably made seven free throws and 14 of his points were scored in the second quarter.
Mathurin was playing his second preparatory match. He had eight points in 14 minutes of play earlier this week against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
For the Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Luguentz Dort did not participate in the game, like the other starters.
There are still two preparatory games remaining for the Pacers, who will then kick off their season on October 23, against the Thunder.
