Parker’s prediction: With a short week working against them, the Bears defense could be exposed, especially with Jalen Hurts and the Eagles waiting in Philadelphia.

All eyes will be on the NFC tape-measuring matchup between the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field on Friday, November 28, with the two division leaders going head-to-head in a standalone showdown.
My top NFL picks and Bears vs. Eagles predictions are calling for star quarterback Jalen Hurts and the Philly defense to do the heavy lifting in a Week 13 win over Chicago on Black Friday.

Bears vs Eagles Best bet: Eagles -7 (-110)
The Chicago Bears have won seven of their eight games by one-possession results and have sent out one of the worst statistical defenses in the NFL.
A road date with the Philadelphia Eagles on a short week sets up to expose a fraudulent Chicago defense ranking 25th in defensive DVOA while allowing the sixth-most points per game and third-most yards per play.
Chicago has also benefited from pacing the NFL in takeaways (24), while Philadelphia has turned the ball over the fewest times in the league (six).
Of course, the Eagles have also been money at Lincoln Financial Field winning 15 of their past 16 and covering the number in nine of the past 12.
There’s also a huge disparity in the strength of schedule these two teams have faced, which also has my attention.
Philly has faced the fourth-hardest slate per PFF and third by DVOA, while Chicago has gone up against the third- and second-easiest schedules, respectively.
I’m also anticipating a statement bounce back from the Eagles on both sides of the ball after allowing 24 unanswered to the Dallas Cowboys to lose in Week 12, and in particular on defense.
The defending champs rank top 10 in PFF defense grade, defensive DVOA and EPA per play while allowing the eighth-fewest points per game, after all.

Bears vs Eagles Black Friday same-game parlay
I’m anticipating Philly exposing the Chicago defense, and Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts stuffing his stat line.
On top of all the highlighted defensive shortcomings, the Bears are also tied for the third-most passing touchdowns allowed to opposing quarterbacks (22) while allowing QBs to run for a league-high 6.74 yards per carry.
This is also a spot where I’m not anticipating Philly taking its foot off the gas after the noted blown lead in Week 12.

Bears vs Eagles weather
Conditions should be cool and dry from late afternoon into the evening for today’s Black Friday matchup between the Bears and Eagles. Temperatures are expected to sit in the low-40s °F around kickoff and slide into the upper-30s as the game goes on, with mostly clear skies and no precipitation in the forecast. Visibility will be excellent under calm, dry conditions, and with an open-air stadium, players and fans will definitely feel the chill but won’t have to contend with rain or snow.
On the field, this kind of weather is close to ideal, so it likely won’t dramatically favor one team over the other, especially with both being cold-weather franchises. The cool temperatures will make the ball a bit firmer, which can slightly affect grip for quarterbacks and receivers and add some sting to catches and tackles, but the lack of wind and precipitation should help the passing game and special teams execution. Kickers and punters get a stable plant surface and clean ball, so field position and long field goals are very much in play.
If either offense has timing issues or ball-security problems, it’ll be more about execution than the elements, which means coaching, game plan, and in-game adjustments will loom larger than the weather in deciding the outcome.
