According to the statement that the Dane County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) shared with Peoplethe 62-year-old artist along with more than 50 protesters invaded the Ridglan Farms property.
Dressed in white protective suits, they were filmed breaking into the facility last Sunday morning and tightly holding the dogs as they filed out.
The so-called Coalition to Save the Dogs of Ridglan revealed that they took 31 dogs, but the authorities managed to intercept eight of them.
The sheriff’s office stated that “two vehicles, along with burglary tools and other evidence, were seized at the scene,” adding that “some of the stolen beagles were recovered and returned to Ridglan Farms, but several beagles are still missing.”
According to the medium WMTVthis place has become a target of animal rights activists, since beagles are bred in its facilities that are used in scientific research.
