On Wednesday, a man dressed in black went to work with brush and cleaning agent to make the artwork disappear as well as possible. After a lot of scrubbing, a clear silhouette remains.

The Royal Courts of Justice had the graffiti removed because the 143 -year -old courthouse is ‘legally protected’. The local police already announced on Tuesday that the “malicious damage” would be canceled.

The drawing appeared on a wall of Queen’s House on Monday, one of the buildings of the Royal Courts of Justice. Immediately after the work was noted, the maintenance service of the building covered the drawing with metal fences.

Banksy claimed the artwork as his with a post on Instagram. He charts the fuss or the organization Palestine Action. The action group is considered by the British government as a terrorist organization and therefore prohibited. In protests against that ban, which are being conducted throughout the summer, the police act very repressively. Last weekend, almost 900 arrests were carried out on a peaceful protest.
