The breach, which reportedly began on march 31, 2025, is suspected to involve a third-party actor working in collusion with individuals within Bank DKI’s management.

Limited Impact on Customer Funds; Focus on System Recovery
Bank DKI has assured its customers that the fund leakage has not affected their accounts. according to Widodo, the compromised funds belong solely to the bank, with estimated losses not exceeding rp 100 billion. While the investigation continues, Bank DKI is prioritizing the restoration of full functionality to its digital services.
Currently, customer transactions are proceeding as normal through ATM networks and branch offices. However, the JakOne mobile application is experiencing limited functionality, notably concerning interbank transfers. The bank anticipates restoring full service, including interbank transfers, within the coming days.
The incident highlights the increasing threat of cyberattacks targeting financial institutions. According to a recent report by Cybersecurity ventures, cybercrime is predicted to cost the world $10.5 trillion annually by 2025, underscoring the critical need for robust cybersecurity measures within the banking sector.
