Bali Rabies: 15 Tourists Bitten by Dog – Updates & Safety

In Bali, a dog infected with rage bit 15 tourists in the Tabanan region. The dog was captured and euthanized after confirmation of the presence of the virus.

A large vaccination campaign for stray and domestic dogs has been launched, and stray dogs have been rescued and adopted.

It is recommended to avoid feeding stray dogs in order to control their population.

The island records an average of 183 bites suspected of rabies per day, with more than 34,000 animal attacks during the first half, causing at least 12 human deaths.
