As a prelude to the start of the school year, the Committee for the Social Dialogue Sector of Education and Training held a press conference in Dakar on Saturday. Through the theme: “Dialogue together, better and otherwise for a peaceful, inclusive and efficient school year”, the members of the said committee have unveiled their action plan aimed at promoting quality education in a peaceful environment.
Faced with the press and in the presence of all families of actors in the education and training sector (teachers, unions, civil society, representatives of government institutions and the parental movement), the Social Dialogue Committee Sector Education and Training shared its ambitions and its strategies to build a quality school and succeed in a peaceful school year.
In his preliminary text, Inspector Kassa Diagne, Chairman of the Social Dialogue Committee Sector of Education and Training (CDS/EF) recalled the context in which the meeting was held. For him, the pre-school period must be put in profile to mobilize all stakeholders, support initiatives, coordinate interventions, in order to establish a climate of trust and collective engagement.
“This meeting with all parties aims to create a partnership framework for a concerted preparation for the purpose of creating conditions for a peaceful climate, a determining factor for a correct course of learning-learning at all levels” indicated the president of the CDS/EF.
Dialogue, a pillar of stability and progress
True to its mission of alert, monitoring, anticipation and consultation, the Committee for Social Dialogue, Education and Training sector calls for all the segments of the educational ecosystem and government authorities to the Sacred Union for the Senegalese school.
Thus, the CDS/EF, launched a call to all the parties concerned, to go beyond cleavages, to strengthen confidence and to favor constructive dialogue.
“Together we make our school a space for learning, citizenship and pooling of initiatives. The future of our school depends on our ability to remain united and dialogue. We must work together to ensure a peaceful, inclusive and efficient school year at the service of our children and our school ”supports the president of the CDS/EF, Kassa Diagne.

On behalf of civil society organizations and teaching unions, Sileye Goral Sy and Bayat Mbaye have magnified the new dynamic driven by this team of the Social Dialogue Committee Sector Education and Training.
They say they are in line with the commitments and objectives of the CDS/EF. Because, they say “no Senegalese has an interest in working to disrupt the lessons-learning or discredit the school. Therefore, we join the call of the CDS/EF to appease the school space and build a quality inclusive school ”.
Minister Guirassy reiterates his support and support for the CDS/EF
Coming to preside over the meeting, Baba Thiam, director of human resources of the Ministry of National Education welcomed the diversity of actors who participated in the press conference. A diversified and inclusive presence which, according to him, testifies to the importance that actors and partners attach to the education and training sectors.
“With regard to the commitment of the CDS/EF for a peaceful and efficient school, the Minister of Education Moustapha Mamba Guirassy reiterates his support and his support for the CDS/EF for the achievement of his objectives and the success of his missions,” informs the director of human resources of the Ministry of National Education.
In the same wake, director Thiam announced the increase in the subsidy allocated to the structure in order to better do his job.
