Thursday’s Forbes Under 30 Summit was full of stars, and our packed event was closed by Azahriah, who filled Puskás three times. Gergő Zsiborás, the editor-in-chief of Forbes, talked to him about how he deals with his dopamine addiction and whether he can still go to the store for Parisizer.
After the premiere of the March cover and the 30/30 list, the most successful Hungarian performer of our time, Attila Baukó, also known as Azahriah, took to the stage in his usual sunglasses and black cap set. He rarely takes on roles, but he felt that the topic was close to him, so he expressed his opinion about online bubbles, his own presence, but his future plans were also discussed.
You would think that the stage is the most important platform for a singer, but Azahriah attributes such a big role to social media. “I socialized in this,” he said with a smile, referring to the beginnings, when he only posted videos on YouTube on a wide variety of topics. He also started uploading his music there, which is why he considers it the most important platform of his career, but also a critical space.
A follower base of hundreds of thousands also comes with responsibility, the question is how you can manage it. “It was in my career as a content producer that I struggled with how to handle this responsibly, but I’m still looking for that way.” According to Azahriah, it is a difficult question, where is the line that can no longer be crossed, because social media means a huge freedom, where you can put anything practically without external control, but you have to reckon with the consequences, since every post has an echo.
