In an armed attack on a bakery in Aydın’s Efeler district, business owners Erhan Özlüer and his brother Ayhan Özlüer lost their lives. Suspect Umut K., who escaped after the incident, was caught in a short time.
According to the information received, former Aydınspor President Erhan Özlüer and his brother Ayhan Özlüer, who run a bakery in Girne District İsmet Sezgin Boulevard, were attacked with an armed attack while they were at their workplace. The bullets from the gun fired repeatedly during the attack hit 2 brothers. After the attack, the suspect fled the scene.
Upon notice from the surrounding people, health and police teams were dispatched to the address. Upon check-up by medical teams, it was determined that two brothers had died. Police teams determined that the escaped attacker was Umut K. 24-year-old Umut K. was caught and detained by police teams at the entrance of the Aydın-İzmir Highway in a short time. New details have emerged regarding the double murder. Allegedly, there was a phone conversation between suspect Umut K.’s father and Erhan Özlüer the day before. It was claimed that there was swearing and threats between the parties during the meeting.
It was learned that on the day of the incident, Umut K. came to the bakery and sat at the table with Erhan and Ayhan Özlüer. It was stated that while the trio was chatting for a while, Erhan Özlüer ordered tea to the suspect and stated that he could also order food if he wanted. However, it was soon learned that Umut K. took out the gun he had with him and shot Ayhan Özlüer first, and then, during the fight with Erhan Özlüer, the workplace employees went out in panic and asked for help.
It was reported that when the employees returned, they found Erhan Özlüer dead.
