A Spanish company, Voltrac, has introduced an autonomous tractor designed to serve dual roles in both agriculture and defense. This electric vehicle is engineered to perform a range of tasks, from monitoring crop health to delivering critical supplies in conflict zones.

The 3.5-tonne electric tractor is capable of navigating challenging terrains, making it suitable for frontline resupply missions. According to voltrac’s cofounder and CTO, Francisco Infante Aguirre, “In Ukraine, as an example, many lives are lost in non-combat situations, including frontline resupply missions. That’s where we see a machine like ours making a difference: it’s built for tough terrain, and it doesn’t risk human life. It can do the same job whether it’s hauling crops or carrying ammo.”
