Czarnik’s journey to Lausanne began with a stellar collegiate career at Miami University, where he amassed an remarkable 169 points in 159 games. Before making his mark in Switzerland, Czarnik honed his skills in the AHL with the Providence Bruins, notching 61 points in 68 games during the 2015-16 season. This performance solidified his readiness for the NHL stage.

Czarnik brings a wealth of experience from eight seasons in the NHL, where he played 205 games and recorded 51 points (33 assists) across several teams, including the Boston Bruins, Calgary Flames (under the tutelage of Geoff Ward), New York Islanders, Seattle Kraken, and Detroit red Wings. His time in North America provided him with invaluable experience at the highest level of professional hockey.

Transitioning to the Swiss National League in the 2024-25 season with SC Bern, Czarnik quickly established himself as a dominant force. He led the team in scoring with 56 points (20 goals and 36 assists), earning the title of PostFinance Top Scorer. Notably, Czarnik also topped the entire National League in overall scoring, demonstrating his immediate impact and effectiveness on the ice.
