Rémi: Weaving Life into Animated Stories
Rémi, a 19-year-old artist, draws inspiration from a rich inner world, populated by distinctive characters. He seamlessly transitions between traditional hand-drawn techniques and digital art, depending on the spark of the moment.
I draw them by hand or in digital depending on the inspiration of the moment.
Rémi
Through his comics, Rémi shares intimate glimpses into his life, transforming memories and emotions into compelling illustrated narratives. He sees his art as a means of reinterpreting reality with a touch of poetry and raw sincerity. Rémi’s passion for bringing his characters to life led him to explore stop-motion animation, a painstaking technique that allowed him to create Davon, an animated puppet brought to life frame by frame, adding a new dimension to his artistic vision.Stop-motion animation, while time-consuming, remains a popular technique, with recent films like Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio showcasing its enduring appeal.
Alisa (Fufa): Finding Her Voice through Art
Alisa, a 15-year-old artist originally from Russia and now residing in Aurignac, exhibits her work under the pseudonym Fufa. She has been developing her artistic skills for many years.
I have been drawing for a long time and painting too. For me, real art is what is done with feelings, and mine, currently confused and disturbed, make me still look for my way.
Alisa (Fufa)
Alisa experiments with a variety of mediums, from gouache and watercolor to digital drawing on a tablet. The accessibility of digital art tools has empowered her to explore new creative avenues. “Since I was given a tablet, I have learned lots of things: to create games, to sculpt with clay, and any other form of artistic expression that could suit me,” she says. With a foundation in academic arts and watercolor painting from her time in Russia,Alisa aspires to attend an animation school in paris after completing high school, with the goal of mastering the art of visual storytelling. Paris remains a hub for animation, with schools like Gobelins consistently ranked among the best in the world.
