Audition Langlet: Hearing Aid Services Now in Dordogne | France

by drbyos

This hearing aid center offers free appointments to test your hearing. If necessary, professionals will offer hearing aids to hear better, but also to rehabilitate the hearing areas impacted by the onset of deafness. “When we hear poorly, our brain is no longer able to hear high frequencies. By wearing your hearing aids on a daily basis, you gradually regain sound quality,” emphasizes the hearing care professional.

Marie-Lys Bouillaud, a state-certified hearing aid specialist, has joined the Audition Langlet team.

If the average age of patients who enter a hearing aid center is around 72, everyone can be affected one day. Screenings are offered to people exposed to noise. Earplugs are made to measure, thanks to the molding of the ear canal. Often, companies where employees are exposed to noise cover the cost of this protection. But we can also equip ourselves to avoid the harm of decibels in concert.

All ages can potentially be affected by hearing loss.

When the damage is there, and it is necessary to be equipped, the hearing care professionals support the patients, from the choice of the device, as discreet as possible, to the follow-up for five years. “Our primary objective is to allow people who isolate themselves because they hear less to escape from their isolation which can lead to cognitive decline,” specifies Marie-Lys Bouillaud.

“Our profession is in full transformation”

“Our business is undergoing a complete transformation,” says Frédéric Langlet, director of the brand, which opened its first hearing aid center on Route de Lyon, in Périgueux, in 2008. He moved not far away to Boulazac, after acquiring premises with parking.

Two other centers are open in Ribérac and Chancelade, still with the same success. “We are three exclusive audiologists who work in an independent brand, it is increasingly rare in this profession”, affirms the creator of Audition Langlet, who denounces the commercial abuses of his profession.
