One of the more unexpected collaborations of the year is between ASUS and GoPro. These two have jointly developed the ASUS ProArt GoPro Edition PX13. This compact 2-in-1 laptop has a custom design that better suits GoPro, comes with a variety of accessories, has special integration with GoPro cameras and is also extremely powerful. If you want a small laptop to take with you on adventures, this might be what you’re looking for.

- ASUS ProArt GoPro Edition PX13: Alternatives
- Recommended retail price of 3,599 euros
- Available since the end of February 2026
- Only one configuration
The ASUS ProArt GoPro Edition PX13 is not a cheap laptop. One configuration is sold here with AMD Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 processor, 128GB RAM (yes, you read that correctly) and 2TB storage. You pay 3,599 euros for this.
This is a huge amount of money, but considering the specifications, the price is not unreasonable. This is a laptop that you should only buy if you need all this power (and especially the 128GB RAM). If you’re just looking for a 13-inch 2-in-1 laptop, there are plenty of cheaper options.
We can best compare the ASUS ProArt GoPro Edition PX13 with the new MacBook Pro (14 inches, M5 Max). If you want to equip it with 128GB of RAM, you are looking at a suggested retail price of no less than 6,124 euros. There are some useful extras for GoPro users, but even if you don’t have a GoPro, this is an interesting laptop for demanding creative work on the go.

ASUS ProArt GoPro Edition PX13 review: design
- Comes with all kinds of accessories, including stylus
- Sturdy design with GoPro accents
- Sufficient connections and handy trackpad with ASUS Dial
When the ASUS ProArt GoPro Edition PX13 arrived here, the first thing I was surprised by was the size of the box. It was large enough for a monitor of roughly 24 inches. The ASUS ProArt GoPro Edition PX13 does not come alone. Inside the large box, was a briefcase held closed by straps and inside it was the laptop. The case is designed to accommodate your GoPro and its accessories so you can easily take it with you.
You also get a stylus with charger. It is not entirely clear to me why there is not simply a charger in the stylus and that it must be placed in the cradle to charge. It is also not possible to store the stylus in the laptop or attach it magnetically to something. So it is not very convenient to take it with you on the road.
Furthermore, the design of the ASUS ProArt GoPro Edition PX13 is also slightly different from a regular PX13. Vertical grooves have been made on the lid, also in the style of GoPro, and in the keyboard the F8 button has been replaced by the GoPro button, more about which later. The keyboard itself is very comfortable to type on and the trackpad is very spacious for a 13-inch laptop of this size. The ASUS Dial is located at the top left of the trackpad, a kind of wheel that you can adjust with certain shortcuts per app. This ranges from advanced editing in creative programs like Adobe Premiere Pro to a keyboard shortcut to skip songs in Spotify.
There are a surprising number of connections in the ASUS ProArt GoPro Edition PX13. It has a USB-A port, two USB-C ports, microSD card slot, 3.5mm headphone port and even an HDMI port. Charging is done via the unique charging port, but can also be done via the USB-C ports… if your charger is powerful enough. In standard use, my 67W charger was enough to charge the battery, but rendering videos and games required the included 200W charger. Finally, the webcam is of good quality and supports Windows Hello, so I was always logged in quickly.
ASUS ProArt GoPro Edition PX13 review: display
- 13.3-inch AMOLED touchscreen with 2880 x 1800 px resolution
- Refresh rate of 60Hz is too low
- The screen quickly suffers from reflections and is not very clear
A laptop for creative work needs a good screen. The ASUS ProArt GoPro Edition PX13 does many things well in this area, but is certainly not without faults. The first thing I noticed was the 60Hz refresh rate. This is not a gaming laptop and you certainly don’t need 120Hz, but for this money I expect 120Hz. You also get that on the MacBook Pro, among other things, and that is not a gaming laptop either. Before that, the ASUS ProArt GoPro Edition PX13 felt slightly sluggish at times. For example, the larger ASUS ProArt P16 (2025) has a refresh rate of 120Hz.
Furthermore, the 13.3-inch AMOLED touchscreen is of high quality. The resolution of 2800 x 1880 pixels makes everything look razor sharp, making the screen suitable for photo and video editing. Take reflections into account, because the ASUS ProArt GoPro Edition PX13 quickly suffers from them. This is partly due to the glossy touchscreen and partly due to the relatively low brightness of 400 nits.
If you look at the screen of the ASUS ProArt GoPro Edition PX13 indoors, your eyes will be feasted on. Everything looks vibrant and the contrast is excellent. It offers 100% of the DCI P3 color gamut, is HDR True Black 500 certified and Pantone Validated.
The low brightness and reflective touchscreen are a shame here, because this is a laptop that you want to take outside, so that you can watch your GoPro recordings on the spot. If you film in a large open area with a lot of sun, you will still have to seek shade to see your videos properly.
ASUS ProArt GoPro Edition PX13 review: prestaties
- Suitable for heavy creative workloads
- Convenient integration with GoPro
- Stays cool without making much noise
This laptop is the dream of every content creator with or without GoPro. The AMD Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 in combination with 128GB RAM allows you to edit not only 4K, but even 8K videos effortlessly. There is no separate GPU, but there is an integrated Radeon 8060s Max, which roughly corresponds to an Nvidia RTX 4060 in terms of performance.
Importing and editing multiple 4K videos is effortless. There seems to be no limit to the number of video tracks you can add in software like Premiere Pro, Vegas and DaVince Resolve. The ASUS ProArt GoPro Edition PX13 never felt sluggish at any point and also remained surprisingly quiet. Only when you render a video do you hear the fan and even then you can hardly describe it as “noise”. It is indeed louder than the ventilation of a MacBook Pro, but that is also one of the quietest laptops in this category.
The integration with GoPro is simple, yet useful. The GoPro Player opens with one press of the GoPro button. In it you can see all the content in your GoPro Cloud because you can synchronize it with the StoryCube from ASUS. This is a unique part of this laptop that makes it a little more convenient for GoPro users. At the same time, this is not extremely groundbreaking and if you don’t have a GoPro, the ASUS ProArt GoPro Edition PX13 still remains a very powerful laptop. You just have a button that you will never use.
Although it is not made for that, you can game quite well with the ASUS ProArt GoPro Edition PX13. I fired up Honkai Star Rail and the game had automatically set itself to the highest settings. That seemed a bit optimistic to me at first, but in practice the game ran just as smoothly as on my own laptop with an RTX 4060. AMD’s claim about comparable performance is certainly correct.
ASUS ProArt GoPro Edition PX13 review: batterij
- Battery life was somewhat disappointing
- Continues to perform smoothly on battery power
The battery life was a bit of a downer. When I took the ASUS ProArt GoPro Edition PX13 out of the charger, it went into balanced mode and during standard tasks (internet, email, Excel, Word…) it continued to work just as smoothly. However, the battery life dropped a little faster than hoped. When the laptop was connected to my second monitor, I was able to get a total of four hours of use out of it in balanced mode. That was with standard use and without video calls in between. You can stretch this to a maximum of six hours, but the ASUS ProArt GoPro Edition PX13 does not have much more to offer.
Although the ASUS ProArt GoPro Edition PX13 comes with its own charger, you can charge it via the two USB-C ports. That eases the pain a bit and ensures that you can keep the laptop running for a little longer with a power bank. However, in this area it cannot compete with a MacBook Pro.
