Ubisoft would still be making signings for the next main installment of the saga
Ubisoft continues to keep players waiting for news on Prince of Persia or Assassin’s Creed. An imminent remake of Black Flag continues to be rumored about the assassin saga, something that agrees with a Codename Hexe Breaking Newsthe next main installment of the saga after Shadows.
Christopher Grilli as he just joined the development of the game as main screenwritera relevant addition given his extensive previous experience within the universe of the series, although revealing about the proximity of the launch.
Grilli himself confirmed the news through his LinkedIn profile on January 16, where he officially announced his incorporation to Ubisoft Montreal to lead the narrative section of the project. In his message, the screenwriter expressed his enthusiasm for returning to the franchise and being part of a new chapter of Assassin’s Creed, showing gratitude for both the team and the project in development.
In the past, he served as a screenwriter on Assassin’s Creed Origins and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, two key installments in the RPG stage of the franchise, and later assumed the role of main script in Assassin’s Creed Miragea title that opted for a more classic and narrative approach. His return with this position reinforces the idea that Ubisoft wants to give special weight to the story and tone of the next game.
Everything we know so far about Assassin’s Creed Hexe
According to past information, Assassin’s Creed Hexe was in a relatively early phase of development in 2024. At a conceptual level, rumors suggest that the game will offer a more linear experience than other recent installments in the saga, partially moving away from massive open world structures. The story would be starring a woman named Elsawho would have supernatural abilities, an unusual element in the main series.
The setting would be one of the most distinctive aspects of the game. hexe would be located in Central Europe during the 16th centuryin the heart of the Holy Roman Empire, a historical context marked by religious persecution, superstition and witchcraft trials. In keeping with this tone, the developers plan to introduce a fear system inspired by Assassin’s Creed Syndicate’s Jack the Ripper DLC, which would affect both enemies and overall gameplay.
