Since his senior debut for Glamorgan in 2024, Tribe has become an integral part of the team, showcasing his talent in all three formats of the game. Initially, he wasn’t selected for the first three Championship matches of the year, but his impressive performance in the second XI earned him a spot on the team.

his consistent performance led to his inclusion in every match, and in June, he scored his first century for Glamorgan in the Championship against Leicestershire. Tribe further solidified his position by registering his first double century against northamptonshire.

Before achieving this milestone, Tribe had already demonstrated his capabilities with two unbeaten centuries in Glamorgan’s last two One Day Cup games.He also played for Jersey, scoring 175 and 53 not out in between his county commitments. To date, Tribe has participated in five One Day internationals and 26 T20 internationals.

Wallace’s Perspective on Tribe’s Role

According to Wallace, Tribe was always envisioned as a top-order batter. “We always saw him as a top-order batter, his ability, his technique and his mindset does align to being a top-order batsman,” Wallace added.

“He’s confident without being arrogant,he backs his ability,so he bats high up for us in in multi-day cricket.”

Wallace further elaborated on Tribe’s versatility: “But in T20 cricket we’ve batted him a little bit lower down, he’s batted at sort of five and six, which is a different and difficult role in itself where you have to score quite quickly and you have to be able to to clear the boundaries.”

This adaptability is a testament to Tribe’s dedication to improving his game. “So he’s improving his skill sets in different areas, he’s not just pigeonholing himself as a high-order batter,” Wallace noted. Looking ahead, Wallace anticipates Tribe taking on a more prominent role in T20 matches: “He’ll probably end up going a bit higher in T20 for us next year, but across the formats he’s shown some real ability.”
