Árpád Mohácsi: Obituary & Cause of Death

He died at the age of fifty-two Árpád Mohácsi former 77-time Hungarian national handball player. The excellent crosser played for Nyíregyháza, Dunaferr and Veszprém in Qatar and Athens, and was champion, cup winner and top scorer in Hungary and Greece. In 2000, he was chosen as the Hungarian handball player of the year, and in recognition of his merits, in addition to his childhood village, Újkígyós, he was also awarded the title of honorary citizen by the Greek capital. In recent years, Árpád Mohácsi has been living in retirement in Újkígyós, in addition to coaching, he worked as a water meter reader in a civil position.
