The Cultural Institute of the Province of Buenos Aires invites you to participate in tests to serve as Accompanying Pianist of the Stable Choir of the Argentine Theater. Registration will be open between February 11 and 19 and auditions will take place on the 24th and 25th of the same month.
The Cultural Institute of the Province of Buenos Aires calls on interested parties to participate in an audition to select an Accompanying Pianist for the Stable Choir of the Argentine Theater.
The tests will take place on Tuesday, February 24 and Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at the Teatro Argentino Provincial Arts Center.Registration must be done by email coorestudios@gmail.com from Wednesday, February 11 to Thursday, February 19 inclusive, at 7 p.m. Applicants must provide their name and surname, ID number and contact telephone number and attach their curriculum vitae.
The tests will have two parts. The first stage (piano) will take place on Tuesday, February 24, from 10 a.m. It will consist of the performance of the first and second movements of a Beethoven sonata of your choice (except for Opus 19-49, No. 1 and No. 20-49, No. 2); the interpretation of a work of your choice from the Classical or Romantic period; the performance of the piano reduction of the second movement (“Denn alles Fleisch…”) of Brahms’ German Requiem (for two hands, except for the London version), under baton, and the sight-reading of an opera fragment.
Those selected in the first instance will go on to the second stage (to be carried out together with the Stable Choir), which will take place on February 25, from 2:30 p.m., and will consist of accompanying fragments of the second act of the opera “La Bohemia” by Puccini, under the direction of the director.
