Book sport
From March 6th to 8th, the Horst Korber Sports Center in Berlin will be the hub of the German archery world. Then the German Championships will take place indoors, thus concluding the season indoors. 29 individual titles will be awarded. From Friday 10 a.m. to Sunday around 1:30 p.m. the arrows will fly through the hall near the Olympic Stadium. As always, the title holders will be determined in a wide range of age groups using blank, compound and recurve bows – a total of 27 individual titles will be awarded, 570 shooters will be in action over the three days.
Numerous national squads are represented in the new Olympic compound area in order to compete with the top national teams. U21 world champion Ruven Flüß (BSV Eppinghoven) starts as defending champions and will certainly have to withstand the attacks of his squad colleagues Paolo Kunsch (SSV Hohenacker), Henning Lüpkemann (TV Meßkirch) or Alex Fabio (ATSV Oberkotzau). The women won sensationally in 2025 Alessa Thiel (BSV Warendorf), now they are trying to repeat the coup. Above all, she will be competing against the best German compound shooter Katharina Raab (Oberallgäuer Gauschützen) as well as other squad athletes such as Marie Marquardt (Blankenfelder BS) have to claim. You can find the complete report from the German Shooting Association here.

This season is a very special one, as a sporting highlight of historical significance will take place in August with the home World Championships in Frankfurt. The final assessment for this will be the 2026 Hanover Finals. Gymnastics International is a joint event between TSV Schmiden and the national rhythmic gymnastics team. Triathlon
The athletes of the German Triathlon Union (DTU) returned from the 2026 Winter World Championships in Padola, Italy, with a strong result. In total, the athletes secured 14 medals – nine gold, two silver and three bronze. The result also includes third place in the elite mixed relay. In the 2×2 mixed relay race they showed themselves Lorena Erl (LV Bayern) and Sebastian Neef (LV Bayern) were extremely focused and secured third place behind Italy and Slovakia after 1:08:25 hours. After the duo narrowly missed the podium last year, this time they were rewarded with bronze thanks to consistent performances across all four rounds.
