Arch Manning Stats: Texas vs Sam Houston – Week 4 Highlights

by Archynetys Sports Desk

Heading into the 2025 season, all eyes were on Arch Manning, the quarterback many expected to emerge as one of college football’s best. He entered the year as the Heisman Trophy favorite, leading a Texas team ranked No. 1 in the preseason.

But through three games, Manning hasn’t lived up to the lofty expectations in his first full season as a starter. He’s completed just 55.3% of his passes for 579 yards, six touchdowns, and three interceptions. Frustrations peaked against UTEP, when he struggled to find a rhythm, finishing 11 of 25 for 114 yards, a touchdown, and a pick.

After dropping the season opener to No. 3 Ohio State, No. 8 Texas has bounced back with two straight wins. Still, if the Longhorns hope to meet their national championship expectations, it starts with Manning. Before diving into a loaded SEC slate that features four current AP Top 25 opponents, Texas gets one final tune-up at home against Sam Houston.
