The ARC Raiders game from Embark Studios was officially released recently after the end of the Server Slam test that took place on all platforms. The game received great interest thanks to its amazing shooting style and attractive idea, which made it one of the most prominent extraction-style shooting games in the recent period.
If you haven’t tried the experience yet, here’s what awaits you inside the game: tactical confrontations based on cooperation between players, huge environments full of challenges and dangers, and a progression system that allows for continuous upgrading of equipment and weapons. Now let’s review the most important details about the project.
Locations
Table of Contents
The game begins in the Dam Battlegrounds, the first location players encounter, and many have already experienced it during the recent Server Slam test. After that, you can head to four additional areas:
- Buried City: A semi-abandoned city with many abandoned buildings to explore.
- Spaceport: An abandoned space launch facility filled with the remains of ancient technology.
- Blue Gate: A mountainous area with open terrain containing underground facilities and several towns.
- Stella Montis: A location that has not yet been fully revealed, as Embark Studios is keeping quiet about its details.
Hope
It is the player’s home base, where they interact with vendors who provide quests and items. Free equipment can also be obtained for those who lost everything in the raids. Scrappy the Rooster provides valuable materials whether the raid succeeds or fails, provided you give him some resources in return.
Workshop
The workshop is the core of the crafting system in the game, as it enables the player to create new tools and weapons, upgrade existing gear, craft new improvements and armor, in addition to refining raw materials. Each facility within the workshop can be upgraded to unlock better options as you progress.
Skills
Skills are divided into three specializations: Conditioning, Mobility, and Survival. The player can develop abilities such as quickly recovering stamina on a critical hit, reducing damage when falling, or increasing climbing speed and carrying more resources. Advanced skills require more points and more difficult conditions, and experimenting with skill combinations is encouraged to find the perfect playstyle.
Achievements and Raider Decks
Raider Cred Points are awarded to the player upon completing achievements (Feats), and can be spent at Raider Decks, which are similar to the Warbonds system in Helldivers 2, and feature pages of free and paid cosmetic rewards. Embark Studios has confirmed that more will be added over time, but some will be temporary. There are also in-game stores where cosmetic items can be purchased using Raider Tokens, or obtained as rewards from quests and level progression.
