Jakarta –
Deputy Chairman of Commission V DPR RI Syaiful Huda touched on the discourse on eliminating credit scores or the OJK’s Financial Information Services System (SLIK) being removed. Low-income people (MBR) have difficulty taking home ownership credit (KPR) because they are constrained by OJK SLIK.
“40 percent of KPR applications are rejected by banks due to customers who have arrears on online loan loans, since loan debts on SLIK are not immediately cleared even though they have been cleared,” said Syaiful Huda at a working meeting of Commission V DPR RI and the Ministry of PKP at the DPR Building, Jakarta, Wednesday (19/11/2025).
Members of the DPR RI asked for an explanation from the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait (Ara) regarding the latest developments in the OJK SLIK elimination policy. His party also supports the PKP Ministry’s efforts to resolve this problem.

“Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representatives supports the efforts of the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas to communicate with relevant agencies in overcoming the financial services authority (OJK) financial information service system (SLIK) credit score problem which hinders applications for KPR home ownership loans for low-income people,” he said.
Meanwhile, Ara said he had met with the OJK four times together with the developer association to discuss the SLIK case. He also conveyed this to the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs and the Minister of Finance.
“I have also asked that the OJK SLIK be abolished. Why do I say that? Because we happen to go to the field quite often and the problem is true, you said, we found it directly in the field,” said Ara.
Ara hopes that credit scores at certain numbers can be eliminated. He also said that the OJK could write a letter to banks regarding the removal of SLIK.
“Our position is to support that if possible, the OJK SLIK at a certain number be abolished, so that it doesn’t hinder our people. Those who want a house must register, they can get a subsidized house, so it will be hampered,” he said.
Previously reported, Ara said that the OJK SLIK problem was like a vicious circle because it never ended and a solution was found. His party has discussed this matter 4 times with the OJK, then met with the banks, but still did not find any clarity. Ara would like to suggest whitening the OJK SLIK if possible.
“Our suggestion is that, for example, there should be whitening, for the small people who are hampered by OJK SLIK up to what value. Because it helps the people, then they can register with subsidized housing, apply for credit. If that doesn’t happen (whitening), then it’s just a vicious circle, it goes on and on like this, right? There’s no end to that, right? We’ve been to the OJK 4 times. There’s no shortage of meetings with banks,” said Ara at the PKP Ministry Office, Wisma Mandiri, Jakarta, on Tuesday (14/10/2025).
He is happy that this problem received direct assistance from the Minister of Finance because according to him conventional methods are no longer effective in resolving OJK SLIK problems.
