Now with more features
The new version of Whatsapp allows users to make a variety of interactions right from the watch.
Meta has released a new version of Whatsapp that works directly on the Apple Watch. The app makes it possible to manage messages without using your iPhone. The user can read entire messages even longer ones, write and send new messages, record voice messages and send quick emoji reactions. Images and stickers are displayed more clearly than before, and more of the chat history is visible directly on the watch’s screen.
The app works with Apple Watch Series 4 and later, and requires the watch to have Watch OS 10 or later installed. Meta emphasizes that messages and calls are still protected with end-to-end encryption, meaning content is private between sender and receiver.
The launch is seen as a first step, and Meta plans to continue developing the app based on user feedback. The goal is to make Whatsapp more accessible on more devices and to simplify messaging right from your wrist.
