TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Apple is reportedly opening access to its local artificial intelligence model (AI) to third -party application developers. As quoted from the report The VergeThis step allows the integration of Apple Intelligence technology into other applications.
Apple is said to start by opening a small AI model that runs directly on the device (on-device), through the provision of Special Software Development Kit (SDK). This effort is similar to the Google approach which introduces Gemini Nano Ai API in the Google I/O event.
Developers can later integrate features such as writing aids, including making summary and re -writing, to the Apple Image Playground Image generator into their applications.
Even so, Access to Apple’s cloud -based AI model will not be given in the early stages. This SDK is also expected to have a big impact on AI applications that already use their own models, such as chatgpt, grok, or products from anthropic.
Apple is said to be officially announced this initiative in the annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) which is scheduled to take place starting on 9 June.
In addition to the announcements related to AI, Apple is also rumored to be introducing a large operating system update titled ‘Solarium’ which will unite the appearance and experience of users on iOS, MacOS, and iPados to be in line with the Vision Pro system.
