Agencies – Beirut:
Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun called for the necessity of withdrawing the Israeli forces from the five hills in the south, stressing that this is a basic step to enable the Lebanese army to complete its deployment to the internationally recognized borders.
President Aoun stressed during his meeting with General Diwato Abanara, the new commander of the international forces operating in the south “UNIFIL”, the importance of the continued work of “UNIFIL” alongside the Lebanese army to ensure the full implementation of international resolution 1701.
It is noteworthy that the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and the Israeli entity, which entered into force on November 27, ruled that the Israeli forces withdrew from the border villages and towns in southern Lebanon within 60 days, but it remained concentrated in five points and continues its violations from time to time.
