Analysts at Krungsri Securities Public Company Limited stated that yesterday (6 Jan. 2026) the prices of large stocks in the tourism sector decreased by AOT (-5.5%), CENTEL (-1.5%), MINT (-1.22%), ERW (-2.56%), which was disappointing that the number of foreign tourists decreased compared to the previous week.
The data (29 Dec. 25 – 4 Jan. 26) reported that there were a total of 724,971 foreign tourists, a decrease of 16.55% from the previous week. The number of Chinese tourists was 65,982, a decrease of 18.1% from the previous week. This can be seen as a result of the season, which is normal for the number of foreign tourists to drop significantly in the first week after the countdown period ends at the end of the year. In addition, AOT also has a unique negative factor after foreign brokers lowered their recommendations from Buy to Neutral.
