The May 16 Incident

According to police reports, shots were fired shortly before midnight, wich were detected by the ShotSpotter system. An off‑duty security officer reported witnessing Antonio Brown engage in a physical altercation with another man. Surveillance footage allegedly depicts Brown grabbing a gun from a security official and firing two shots while chasing the same man, potentially grazing his neck.

“I was jumped by multiple individuals who tried to steal my jewelry and cause physical harm to me.”

Witnesses at the scene identified Antonio Brown as the aggressor. Investigators recovered two shell casings and an empty holster. No weapon was found on Brown when he was briefly detained and afterward released that same night.

Brown’s Response

Following the May 16 incident, Antonio Brown addressed the allegations on social media on May 17. He stated, “I was jumped by multiple individuals who tried to steal my jewelry and cause physical harm to me.”

He further added that police “temporarily detained me until they received my side of the story and then released me. I WENT HOME THAT NIGHT AND WAS NOT ARRESTED.” Brown also stated his intention to press charges against those who he claimed attacked him.

In a later livestream with Adin Ross, Brown stated, “I got CTE, I blacked out … I don’t know what happened.”
