Former NFL player Antonio Brown is facing an attempted murder charge following a shooting in Miami,according to an arrest warrant. The incident reportedly occurred after an altercation outside an amateur boxing event.
Brown, 36, is accused of taking a firearm from a security guard and firing two shots at Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu, with whom he had been involved in a physical altercation.Nantambu told investigators that one of the bullets grazed his neck.

Second-degree attempted murder carries a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
This is the latest in a series of legal issues for Brown, who has previously faced accusations of assault against a moving truck driver, multiple domestic violence allegations, and failure to pay child support. In 2021, during a game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the New York Jets, Brown removed his jersey, shoulder pads, and gloves before leaving the field, leading to his release by the Buccaneers.
Following that incident, then-Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady expressed compassion for Brown, who had been living in Brady’s home during his time in Tampa Bay.

According to the arrest warrant, Brown attended a celebrity boxing event in Miami on May 16. police were called to the scene after reports of shots fired.Witnesses identified Brown as the shooter, but no weapon was found when he was apprehended in the parking lot, although two shell casings were recovered.
Brown was initially released because the victim was not promptly identified. Investigators later determined that Nantambu was the victim.
Surveillance video showed that the altercation involving Brown, Nantambu, and others was interrupted by security personnel, one of whom confronted Brown, according to the warrant.
The warrant states, “Mr. Brown appears to take out a black firearm from the area of the right hip area” of the security officer. “A mobile phone video obtained from social networks showed Mr. brown with the weapon in his hand moving towards Mr. Nantambu on the outer sidewalk. The video captures two shots that occur when the Sr. Brown is at several feet of Sr. Nante.”
Nantambu identified brown as the shooter and stated that he has known Brown since 2022.
