On Friday, November 7, the exhibition-liepajnieki-lv/” title=”Liepaja Museum: "Library Liepaja" … | Liepajnieki.lv”>Liepāja Museum opened the exhibition “Cat’s Birthday” by graphic artist and book illustrator Anita Paegle, which invites the audience to meet the Star Cat and take a journey into the world of books. The opening of the exhibition was attended by admirers of the artist’s work, friends, representatives of Liepāja’s cultural life, as well as poets Inese Zandere and Ieva Rupenheite.
As the artist had mentioned before the exhibition, meetings with poets, conversations and silence have been important in this journey – moments when the images created by imagination become the characters of the illustrations.
Indeed, everyone present felt this wonderful synergy between the artist and the poet, where it is possible to hear the illustration and see the poem in a special harmony.
