André Miceli Death: Jovem Pan Journalist Dies at 46

The journalist and presenter of Jovem Pan News, André Miceli, died last Friday (16), aged 46. Miceli was also CEO and editor-in-chief of MIT Technology Review Brasil,

In addition to being a communicator and businessman, he was also a teacher and academic coordinator of Marketing courses at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FVG).

“FGV sympathizes with family, friends, colleagues and students, recognizing the importance of their contribution to the institution and to the development of teaching and research in Brazil.”

MIT Technology Review Brasil also reported the presenter’s death. “His unique ability to identify trends and analyze the impacts of technology on society leaves a definitive mark on our newsroom, our partners and the community he helped build,” they published.

On social media, friends and family mourn the businessman’s death. “I was lucky enough to meet you, my brother, live with you, learn from you… and you, with all the generosity in the world, opened the doors to FGV, MIT Tech Review and so many other projects!”, disclosed lawyer Luiz Augusto Filizzola D’Urso.

In a statement, Jovem Pan News reported that the journalist was fighting pancreatic cancer, maintaining discretion about his health status while continuing to work.
