Finding goalies who have the potential to shine between the top and they are not yet known about them is the most difficult discipline. First, there are not so many of them, two matches with zero and the public will gnaw immediately: That’s him, this guy knows something! And virtually every team in the extraleague has a name on the roster.
It makes no sense to analyze Michal. Comet number one came, shone, caught the title and has a contract in the NHL.
Nor does it make sense to discuss how quality work can repeatedly show Petr Kváča in Liberec, Dominik Frodl in Karlovy Vary or Josef Kořenář in Sparta. If we add Roman Will, Dominik Hrachovina, Nick Malík or Ondřej Kacetl, this is a group that is known to be able to do big things.
But we found three goalies who can pull into the group of extraleague stars. Just a little thing: take the last year as a base and move a little higher. All three of them showed the possibilities that they could repeatedly show top performance.

Štěpán Lukeš (Kladno, 29 years)
Until the summer of 2024, he had only one really top section in his career. In the 2021/22 season he pulled himself in Hradec to the national team, caught 16 wins from 22 matches and waited for what to do next. But he did not want to further extend the contract, so the club exchanged it to Karlovy Vary.
Since then he has never been so strong, only now in Kladno at the age of 29. Overall, he caught 7.92 goals beyond expectations. But if this figure is recalculated to one match, he managed to get to the absolute extraleague tip and his performance can be compared to Josef Kořenář from Sparta, who eventually left as a three world championship.

However, it is necessary to see in the context that Kladno goalies faced a lot of shots. On an average of seven shots in each match, Lukeš was on an average of seven shots than a spice man, which can be easier for some goalies. It is harder to concentrate as much as possible if the goalkeeper is not in the harness.
On the other hand, Lukeš proved the quality that he can cope with big fire. He was well prepared, he was able to catch matches when he was flying over 30 pucks per match. He was exactly the goalkeeper that Kladno needed with a leaky defensive.
Overall, the year caught with a success of 91.1 %. Given that he worked in the second worst whole competition, this is an unexpectedly high number.
Interestingly, over 30 shots headed eight times and Kladno scored seven times in the gate. This regime just sat. Eight times, 25 shots and less headed at him, and here the knights scored three times with him, suggesting that he would probably not be as strong in Sparta as a root man. At the same time, it is for Lukes and an area where it can improve.

Milan Klouček (České Budějovice, 27 years old)
For the first time in his career, he became the first goalkeeper without any “but” that when the partner recovered, he will return to the position. Moving from Pardubice to České Budějovice helped him and the engine. In his case, it is possible to show how the basic goalkeeper can be confusing. If you see the goalkeeper with a success rate of 90.4 %, they are heading to the average. All the more so with the team that finished seventh.
But no goalkeeper in the Extraliga did not face such a large number of missiles from the “very dangerous” category. A total of 162 were heading for the Klouček. Dominik Furch caught about the same number of matches in Mladá Boleslav, but faced only 126 dangerous missiles. But at the same time, Furch and Klouček had the same success rate – 76 %. However, the overall success of Furch shows a value of 92 %, ie the limit of the elite.

In addition, it is necessary to notice how the goalkeeper managed to help his team significantly to maintain the result. When the engine led, the Klouček had a total of 92% success rate, which puts him on a level with Dominik Frodl or Michal character. If České Budějovice manages to improve the defensive phase, their goalkeeper can earn more points.
But in order to move between the goalies who are knocking on the national door, he also has work. One thing will stop a lot of him – a big difference with the success catches the missiles, which is heading to the side, where he holds the trap (left) and where he holds the rush (right). In the upper right part of the goal, 79.6 % of all experiments, in the right lower Kryl 90.19 % of the missiles. In both cases, they are one of the worst data in the league. But when we flip the same thing to the left, 86.6 % (above) and 95.3 % (bottom) are lit. Thus, the theme for the next season is clear: the right side.
What flies from the first, catches
Stanislav Škorvánek (Mountfield HK, 29 years)
He came as a star of the Slovak extraleague and first got used to in Hradec. He joined the team, which has a significant shooting superiority, the goalkeeper is not so much at work. The standard is that it flies under 25 shots. Mountfield HK traditionally has a worse success of shooting, so he needs the goalkeeper not to let go.
At the end of the regular season, the Slovak representative started. Of the last fifteen games, it has only happened three times that he would get more than two goals.
The statistics of weak matches, where, according to hockey.logic, belonged to the tip of the whole extraleague with Matej Tomek and Dominik Frodl. In contrast, there is statistics of Škorvánek’s partner from Hradec, who is at the opposite end of the ranking. According to the statement, he had 15 % of the weak matches he joined.

At the same time, the data shows that 11 % of the Škorvánek matches caught up, which means that in so many matches he was supposed to get significantly more goals than it eventually happened and the points go after him. Again, this is a very similar value that Frodl (13 % of matches) can deliver to its team.
Škorvánek showed his uniqueness in the first missiles, when he was able to cover 93.5 % of the trials that headed for him. Here he was the best in the whole extraleague among the goalies who caught at least ten games.
Hradec scored a stable goalkeeper who led the team to the semifinals. He just had a worse playoff than the basic part. In Slovakia, he showed a scorpion, but the opposite performance, in the matches for the title he could keep his numbers around 95% of the success of the interventions. If he did such a thing in Hradec, he would still put him in the finals.
